Von Freude Hygge Hibernation

I wasn't sure what to expect from Hygge when my friend offered me one, but I figured I'd be in for a Hamburg version of the Danish concept. It poured an amber chestnut with a medium sized white head. I couldn't smell comfort, alcohol or friendship but there was some brown sugar and cherry. These smells continued into the flavor and were met with some cinnamon and spiciness.  I really enjoyed this beer and found it to be unique and fun. I'm not sure if I experienced Hygge while drinking this beer, but I would definitely drink it again.

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
