Buxton Stronge Extra Stout

I wasn't sure what direction to take my beer drinking at The Local Pub, but after a Black IPA I figured I should only go darker, which lead me directly to Buxton Stronge Extra Stout. It was undeniably black with a tan head. I could smell roast, toast, and chocolate. The beer tasted of very crisp chocolate, roast and super dark chocolate bitterness. This beer was a sipper that made you want to gulp, and I had trouble keeping it on the table. I really liked this beer and have been continually impressed with Buxton

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
