BrewDog Libertine Black Ale

Libertine Black Ale poured black with a small tan head. I could smell coffee, roast, light citrus but mainly lots of chocolate. The chocolate, roast and light citrus continued in the flavor. This beer was a bittersweet mix with a thick syrupy chewy mouthfeel. Sometimes people give BrewDog criticism for their over the top marketing, but I have to admit they make some good beers.

Overall: 9/10

About Colin Smith

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
