Rochefort 8

Rochefort 8 appeared a dark brown with red highlights and had a white head that lasted. I could smell sugar, caramel, toffee, raisin, plum, molasses, sweet bread, and a little bitter chocolate. The aroma was impressive. The flavor contained sugar, caramel, toffee, bitter, chocolate, bread, raisin, alcohol, and was overall lightly sweet. The beer was heavy in my mouth. Despite tasting great I managed to drink this beer slowly. I may like the 6 a touch more due to being more drinkable, but I would consider this a must try beer.

Overall: 10/10

About averageguysguidetobeer

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
