Revelation Cat Bombay Cat Black Double IPA

I've grown quite fond of black IPAs over the past year or so. I don't see them very often, especially in Germany, so I'll generally order one when I get the chance. When I looked over the draft list at Brasserie 4:20, Bombay Cat Black Double IPA was definitely where my eyes kept landing . I thought it looked tasty with its deep brown body and a white head that looked like it belonged on a stout. I could smell chocolate, coffee, and some grapefruit. The flavor was a nice mix of chocolate and coffee you'd find in a stout and some grapefruit and stone fruit. It was a tasty beer, and it went pretty well with my burger, but they probably weren't the best combination. I'd definitely drink this beer again.

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
