Hövels Original

I had this beer while at the Barley and Malt in Hamburg. Hövels Original was amber with a moderate white head. Bread and grain were the main smells, but there were also some fainter hop notes. The flavor starts out with bread, grain, and caramel malts and finishes with a slight bitterness from the hops. This was definitely a decent beer. I would recommend drinking it on draft if you get the chance to avoid any possible light contamination from the green bottle they come in.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
