Riedenburger Plankstettener Maibock

Plankstettener Maibock poured a medium reddish brown with a moderate head. I was surprised, because every Maibock I had previously looked like a Helles Bock and was a clear yellow. The aroma was caramel, nuts, alcohol, bread, floral, sweet, and syrupy. The flavor was bitter and consisted of caramel, brown bread, and a light touch of honey. This beer was full bodied and it took me a while to drink it. It was definitely decent, but not good enough to make me pick it up next spring if it is around.

Overall: 7/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
