DouGall's 942 IPA

I had heard good things about this beer before I tried it, and the guy working at Whybeers said he really liked it when he saw me looking at it. It poured orange brown with a small amount of white head. The aroma was citrus and pine as well as some bready malt. I was surprised when I took my first sip as it was actually quite malty tasting and only slightly bitter. I could still taste some citrus and pine, but it was definitely subdued. The taste of bread was prominent which doesn't really happen in an IPA. It made me wonder if the beer had been hit with too much sunlight while sitting on the shelf in the store. I'd like to try this beer again if I see it on tap somewhere, because I would imagine it would taste quite different.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
