BrauKunstKeller Amarsi

Amarsi was a beautiful hue of red with shades of orange and brown. It also sported a good sized white head. The aroma was citrus, orange, mango, and sweet tropical fruit. There were some malty bread notes, but they were hard for me to pick up on. I took a drink and the first thing I noticed was the sharp carbonation and thin body. The flavors were a bit subdued by the bitterness but mango and citrus were still evident. This was definitely a bitter IPA. Overall I liked this beer, but I think it could have used more flavor from the hops to balance with the bitterness. All of the intense aroma lead me to expect a more flavorful beer.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
