Andechser Doppelbock Dunkel

This beer was a dark chocolate ruby with a little white head that was quickly gone. The smells were brown sugar, bread, and molasses. The taste followed suit with brown sugar, dark chocolate, and bread flavors. The carbonation was small and light feeling, but the beer still felt substantial in my mouth. I kind of imagined this beer being like french toast with a lightly sweet dark chocolate syrup. Anyone looking to have a beer with tons of delicious malt flavor should check out this classic German Doppelbock.

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
