Southern Tier 2XRye

This beer poured out a honey amber with a head which was on the small side. There were lots of hops in the aroma with floral, pine, citrus, and soap smells. There was also a grainy rye smell floating around. This was a very complex beer. There were all of the aforementioned hop smells in the flavor as well as the malt flavors of bread, rye, and cereal. This was an intense beer. My only negative thought was that it was too lightly carbonated. I always enjoy sampling a beer brewed outside the normal styles and this one didn't disappoint.

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
