Weyermann Double Imperial Black IPA

Weyermann Imperial Double Black IPA poured almost black from a 500 ml bottle with almost no head besides a small off white ring around the outside of the glass. The aroma was very roasty with plenty of chocolate and some water. Flowing roast poured over my tongue with some earthy hoppiness, chocolate and a slight wateriness. This beer was a nice change of pace as the Black IPA is not a common style among German craft brewers. Despite being a nice change of pace it wasn't quite as good as some Black IPAs I'd encountered but was still decidedly decent.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
