Mikkeller Green Gold

Mikkeller Green Gold poured a solid brown red with a decent white head. The aroma burst with intense tangerine with some alcohol and general citrusiness behind it. The first sip revealed an intense bitterness with a medium body and high carbonation. While there was some citrus poking through the bitterness there was not much discernible flavor besides pine and citrus pith. I found this beer offensively astringent as time went on. This beer seemed all force and no discipline.

Overall: 6/10

About averageguysguidetobeer

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
