Hopfanatic Bodz IPA

I was pretty excited to try some beer from the brewery Hopfanatic while in Budapest, because what hop head wouldn't want to try beer from an upcoming brewery called Hopfanatic? Bodz was an orange brown with a white head. It had some citrus aroma, but overall nothing was striking in the nose. The flavor was okay but slightly weird in a way I couldn't put my tongue on at first. Citrus mingled with some unexpected cherry notes. Later I found out this beer was possibly brewed with elderberry. This beer was okay, but I would have long forgotten about it without any notes.

Overall: 6/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
