Hanscraft Backbone Splitter

Hanscraft Backbone Splitter was a beer I was interested in trying for quite some time and not just for its descriptive name. It poured a cloudy golden orange with a normal white head. I could smell lots of citrus and some caramel. The flavor was dynamically citrusy with an enjoyable grapefruit flavor. This was a good IPA and definitely one of the top German IPAs I've gotten the chance to try. I have to admit though that my back bone felt fine after imbibing so there could be some false advertising. On the other hand I had enough beer at that point that I only managed to take one questionable picture, so maybe this beer is kind of dangerous.

Overall: 9/10

About averageguysguidetobeer

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
