Ratpenat Bandera Negra Black IPA

This was the only Catalonian beer on tap at BierCab, which made it an easy choice for me to try. It showed up black with about two fingers worth of tan head. I could smell citrus, chocolate, and molasses. This was a smooth easy drinking beer with medium bitterness. The flavor featured more chocolate and citrus but didn't have many pronounced flavors. I liked this beer and would drink it again, but I've had better black IPAs.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
