Revelation Cat California Moonset

I don't usually ask bartenders for recommendations, but I was feeling uncertain what to get for my last beer at Brasserie 4:20. The bartender told me that California Moonset would give me all the hops I could want, and it would remind me of a west coast IPA. That sounded great to me, so I decided to go for it. I'm not sure what a California Moonset smells like, but this beer was pungent and overflowing with resin, grapefruit, and fruity hop notes. It looked hazy amber gold with a small white head and appropriately hipsterish in a mason jar.  It was very bitter tasting but also had some sweetness. Piles of grapefruit and resin mixed with some milder biscuity malt. I really enjoyed this beer, but I'd already had several before, so I may have not been the best judge.

Overall: 10/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
