Poperings Hommelbier

After a terrible experience at Ale & Hop and getting no dinner, we went over to a hip bar/restaurant called Mosquito in hopes of some Chinese inspire tapas. Despite it being very busy, we only waited a short period of time, before we were given a seat at the bar. We ordered some food, and I decided to have a Poperings Hommelbier from Van Eecke

It poured a hazy gold with a white head. I could smell citrus and yeast. The flavor was citrus, orange, yeast, and some spice. It was pretty good and went decently with my tapas. I liked my beer and would drink it again but wish I would have looked at the beer board on the wall. I could have ordered a reserved beer from La Calavera called American Motherfucker.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
