Pinkus Hefe Weizen

Pinkus Hefe Weizen was a deep yellow at the top and a lighter yellow at the bottom. Oddly, there was a small head for a hefeweizen. The aroma wasn't as expected either with smells of hay, grass, and dust. I was even more surprised at the flavor of this beer, as it focused on crisp hay and was slightly sour. It kind of reminded me of orange juice, and it was much more bitter than I'm used to a Hefeweizen being. I assume that something went wrong with this beer during the brewing process or on its journey to my glass, because it just didn't represent the Hefeweizen style and Pinkus Müller is a traditional brewery. Although I think something was off with this beer it was still drinkable, and I may have to have one again to see if this was its true taste.

Overall: 6/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
