Weyerbacher Verboten

Verboten is one of my favorite German words, and I've grown quite fond of it while living in Hamburg. This forbidden beer was amber with a small white head. The aroma was interesting with a potpourri of summer flowers, fruit, and cream. The flavor had bitter pear, sour cherry, funk, yeast, and flowery tastes. This isn't exactly my preferred style of beer, but I did enjoy it and would have it again.

Overall: 8/10

About averageguysguidetobeer

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
