Schwaben Bräu Das Echte Märzen

This beer dubbed "The Real Märzen" pours a clear light gold brown with a small white head. Aroma was light grain and malt with a slighter smell of spicy hops. The taste was grain, cereal, and bread malts as well as a slight bitterness from the hops. The beer felt creamy in my mouth and the carbonation was sharp on my tongue. This was an easy to drink beer and moving more towards the style of Märzen that I enjoy (too often Oktoberfest/Märzen beers in Germany just taste like slightly maltier Pilsners). I can't say that it is really "The Real Märzen", but it is worth drinking.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
