O'Hara's Leann Folláin

I assumed incorrectly that Leann Folláin was a woman's name, but apparently it means "wholesome stout" in Gaelic. The beer was black with a tan head which disappeared quickly. There were some good roasted, chocolate, and coffee smells coming from this stout. The flavor followed suit with plenty of roast, chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, and coffee balanced with a substantial amount of bitter hops. There was also a faint smokiness. This was a tasty, solid stout and worth drinking again.

Overall: 8/10

About Colin Smith

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
