Ballast Point Sculpin IPA

Sculpin IPA was light gold brown with about a finger's worth of white head. This beer had plenty of citrus, grapefruit, and pine aroma. It smelled smooth and drinkable. There was a grapefruit, pine, and citrus start which transitioned to a malty balance of bread and grain before returning to a bitter finish. Overall this beer was pretty bitter but still very smooth and drinkable. I will definitely be drinking this again. There is no shortage of great IPAs in the US, but this is definitely one of the better ones.

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
