Bell's Two Hearted Ale

I liked the way this golden brown beer and its moderate amount of white head looked. This was the first beer I had while back in the US and I knew as soon as it poured out into the glass it would be good. I was greeted by the smell of grapefruit, pine, and some milder bready and caramel malts. The flavor was very hoppy with prominent flavors of grapefruit, pine, and floral hops as well as a decent backing of caramel and bread malts. This beer tasted like I could drink a whole six pack and despite the 7% ABV I couldn't taste the alcohol. The only thing which held this beer back from being a 10 was that as the beer warmed some I found the flavor slightly astringent for the last couple of sips. I will gladly be adding this into my IPA rotation when I'm back in the states.

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
