Riedenburger Ur-Weizen

This hefeweizen was a cloudy dark brown with the iconic gigantic white head. Yeast, banana, and wheat dominated the smell. The flavor started with wheat and rye, transitioned into yeast and water, and finished with a bitter after taste. This beer was okay but nothing special. In the crowded market of German hefeweizens this one gets lost in the pack.

Overall: 6/10

About averageguysguidetobeer

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
