Mönchshof Lager (Helles)

This beer poured the color of straw with a medium amount of white head. Didn't have much of an aroma but smelled kind of clean for lack of a better word. This beer was smooth and refreshing tasting but lacked overall for flavor. It would be good for drinking outside on a sunny day which unfortunately does not happen often in Germany. The carbonation reminded me somewhat of champagne. I feel this is one of the better German helles beers I've had but it was still kind of boring despite being very drinkable.

Overall: 6/10

Waiter there is a finger in my beer!

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
