Fuller's Imperial Stout

I decided to open my Christmas present on Christmas Eve to get me feeling festive. Fuller's Imperial Stout poured black with a medium amount of red brown head. I could smell chocolate, velvety chocolate, roast, char, flowers, and alcohol. This beer had medium bitterness and was just slightly astringent. Dark chocolate, roast, sour cherry, velvety chocolate mousse, alcohol, and herbal hops made up the flavor. As the beer warmed the flavor became smoother and more blended. This was a impressive beer and a worthwhile present.

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
