Bosphorus Istanbul Pale Ale

It would difficult to go to a brewery in Istanbul and not get a beer named Istanbul Pale Ale. It arrived a clear gold with about one finger's worth of white head. I could smell faint citrus and some grain. The carbonation was light and the body was on the lighter side of medium. It was a cask ale. Despite being billed as an IPA it really was lacking the bitterness and intense flavors for an American IPA and was subdued tasting even for an English style IPA. All I could taste was some mild citrus and grain. This beer was not that good. At least it had decent lacing.

Overall: 6/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
