FALK:ON Imperial Stout

FALK:ON Imperial Stout was a beer I shared with my lady while at Zlý Časy in Prague. It was black with an off white head. The aroma was a stout mix of molasses, dark chocolate, and licorice. The flavor matched and the molasses and dark chocolate were quite prominent. I often think my better half has more astute beer observations than I do such as, "molasses tastes strong enough to stand something up in", or "heavy evil bunker fuel that probably burns at low temperatures", and finally describing the mouthfeel as, "prickles prone to melodramatic out bursts". She may have summed it up with her final note of "doom". Apparently despite my enjoyment of this beer she had some mixed feelings.

Overall: 8/10

About averageguysguidetobeer

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
