Primátor Polotmavý 13°

This beer was my first selection at the Czech Beer Festival. I wanted something smooth and easy to drink and this delivered. It was my first time ever having a Polotmavý style beer, and it reminded me very much of a Marzen or Vienna lager. It had a great head and a reddish copper color. I could smell plenty of bread and caramel. I was impressed by the flavors of bread, caramel, and honey which came on strong before closing with a mild hop bitterness. The low carbonation and overall smoothness of the beer made it exactly what I needed to start drinking in the shade that afternoon.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
