Ayinger Ur-Weisse

The Ayinger Ur-Weisse pours darker but still has the classic hefeweizen look. I could smell a little bit of malt mixed in with the quintessential hefeweizen smells of clove, banana, and spice. This beer was very smooth and drinkable. It tasted much like a hefeweizen with prominent banana and clove flavors and it also had a small hint of the maltiness of a dunkel. Ayinger has many great beers including this one. I think I will definitely have to try this one again. This is possibly the best dunkelweizen I've had.

Overall: 8/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.
