South County Black Cowgirl Black Double IPA

Black Cowgirl poured black with a  very small tan head. Chocolate, pine and citrus made for an inviting and complex aroma. The first sip revealed more chocolate, pine and citrus as well as some licorice and very dark chocolate. The mouthfeel was extremely smooth and silky with an assertive but light carbonation. As the bottle warmed pine and bitterness became more evident in the flavor. I couldn't find a date on the bottle, so I'm not sure how old this one was, so I'd like to taste it fresh to see what the hop flavors are like. Overall this was a great beer, and I'm looking forward to trying more beers from South County brewing in the future.

Overall: 9/10

Hi, I'm Colin, I love a good hoppy IPA, but I can find immense enjoyment in a solid session beer, imperial stout, quadrupel or a nostalgic beer from my past.

  1. Subscribes to extremely unethical business practices. JR Heaps, the proprietor of South County Brewing, took substantial loans totaling tens of thousands of dollars from friends and family to build his business and has not, nor will not, pay those loans back. A true shyster.

    1. I feel Itchiness slight to severe flaking skin, which causes the ashy look that can affect dry brown and black skin. Slight to severe scaling or peeling. Can anyone give me a tip on how to treat this kind of illness in my skin?
